What’s been happening
Racecourse Road Upgrade
In July we closed Bald Hill Road at the roundabout on the western side, so we can build the western side of the new intersection and continue works along Racecourse Road. You can continue to use Main Street, Henty Street or Webster Way to access all businesses on Bald Hill Road between Webster Way and the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road roundabout.
We’ve almost completed relocating above ground and underground services such as power, gas, water, sewer and communication out of the way of new lanes and paths on Racecourse Road and Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road. We’ll continue to work on relocating services at the roundabout and near Pakenham Creek over the coming months.
What's coming up
Racecourse Road Upgrade
In mid August we’ll open new lanes on Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road between Peet Street and Bald Hill Road and switch traffic to travel in both directions on the new lanes. We’ll close the old section of road while we build the new southbound lanes.
During this time driveways to some businesses on the east side of Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road will be closed. You’ll be able to access these local businesses via O’Sullivan Street. You can continue to access McDonald’s and West Gippsland Auto Electrics from Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road.
