The McGregor Road Upgrade includes:
- adding an extra lane in each direction on McGregor Road between the Princes Freeway and Henry Road/Webster Way
- upgrading the intersection at McGregor Road/Henry Road/Webster Way to add additional capacity and dedicated turning lanes
- adding an extra lane to the outbound freeway exit ramp and northern freeway roundabout
- widening the inbound freeway entry ramp to add an extra lane and reinstating traffic lights to manage vehicles entering the freeway
- improving drainage and road safety barriers in the area.
Major construction north of the Princes Freeway was completed in December 2024, with works to upgrade the McGregor Road city-bound freeway entry ramp continuing until late March 2025.
