The Victorian and Australian governments have upgraded the Geelong Line, enabling more frequent and reliable services for Victoria’s fastest-growing regional city.
The project delivered 8km of duplicated track between Waurn Ponds and South Geelong, 3 station upgrades, more than 500 new and upgraded car spaces and removed 2 level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway.
Five extra services per hour are now running during the peaks, and 3 per hour between the peaks.
