We removed the level crossing at Kororoit Creek Road, Williamstown North by building rail bridges over the road.

Construction included the partial duplication of the Altona Loop to improve service reliability.

Kororoit Creek Road is used by 22,000 vehicles each day and is part of VicRoads’ Principal Freight Network. It is a key transport corridor that connects the Williamstown North industrial precinct, nearby ports and residential areas to the Princes Freeway.

Project timeline

The Kororoit Creek Road level crossing was removed in mid 2018.
