We’ve removed the level crossings at Neerim Road and Glen Huntly Road, Glen Huntly, by lowering the rail line into a trench.
Glen Huntly and Neerim roads are now open and Frankston Line trains have resumed.
A new modern Glen Huntly Station was also built, featuring a vibrant forecourt with seating and landscaping, as well as a pocket park near the former Neerim Road level crossing.
One of Melbourne's last tram squares was removed as part of the project.
Planned timeline
The level crossings at Neerim and Glen Huntly roads were removed and the new Glen Huntly Station opened in July 2023.
The Frankston Line is a step closer to being level crossing free by 2029.
