We have delivered the upgrades required so VLocity trains can travel to and from Shepparton for the first time.

VLocity trains are lighter and faster than the existing fleet of diesel trains so improved train detection technology is needed.

59 level crossings between Donnybrook and Shepparton are being upgraded as part of Stage 2 of the project with improved train detection technology.

32 of these crossings will be upgraded to feature boom gates, flashing lights and bells, further boosting safety.

Trains are heavy and fast moving so it is important to use boom gates, flashing lights and bells to make sure that everybody is more alert and safer.
