We upgraded Murchison East Station as part of Stage 2 of the Shepparton Line Upgrade.

The platform has been extended for longer, modern VLocity trains. We also made the station easier to access and more comfortable.

The upgrades included:

• asphalted car parking including accessible spaces
• CCTV coverage of the platform and upgraded car park
• platform lighting, seating and shelter

The Murchison East crossing loop has been extended to improve service reliability by giving trains more opportunities to pass each other.

Stage 2 of the Shepparton Line Upgrade has delivered the upgrades needed so VLocity trains can travel to and from Shepparton for the first time.
