The Ballarat Line Upgrade delivered 135 extra weekly services across the project for Ballarat and growing communities along the line.
The project included a new train stabling facility at Maddingley, passing loops at Ballan and Millbrook, track duplication at Bacchus Marsh, the removal of 5 level crossings, signalling upgrades, track improvements, and new and upgraded stations.
Trains now run every 20 minutes during the peak and every 40 minutes between the peaks.
