Ballan Station has been upgraded as part of the Ballarat Line Upgrade.
The upgraded station is more accessible and features improved amenities, to cater to Ballan’s growing population.
Ballan Station passengers now benefit from 100 extra services per week as part of a timetable change that started Sunday 31 January 2021. This was made possible by the Ballarat Line Upgrade.
Project benefits
- an accessible pedestrian overpass as well as lifts and ramps to improve accessibility
- a new southern car park with a dropoff zone
- rebuilt northern carpark
- improved bus bays
- more bike parking and secure storage facilities
- improved safety with CCTV and lighting
- A second platform
- new landscaping
