We upgraded Bunyip Station as part of the Gippsland Line Upgrade.
A second platform was added to allow more frequent and reliable services and so more trains can pass each other.
The pedestrian crossing was relocated to near the northern entrance of the station. This better connected the town’s north and south, and boosted accessibility and safety.
Accessible car parking spaces were built close to platform entrances. A sheltered entrance and priority seating was included.
The project also delivered 30 new car parking spaces on behalf of the Victorian Government’s Car Parks for Commuters program.
Trains began travelling to and from the new platform in June 2024.
