We upgraded Longwarry Station as part of the Gippsland Line Upgrade.
A second platform was added to allow more frequent and reliable services and so more trains can pass each other.
We also extended the existing platform at Longwarry, allowing trains to safely stop further away from the level crossing.
The car park was upgraded with more parking spaces and a drop-off/pick-up zone. There are new bike hoops and a bus stop for replacement coaches too.
The station precinct was improved to support sustainable water management. This included drainage channels along paths, and rain gardens to catch run-off. These features help to prevent flooding in the area.
Trains began travelling to and from the new platform in June 2024.
