We've closed the level crossing at Station Street, Officer.
Vehicles can cross the rail line via the new Brunt Road bridge or Siding Avenue underpass.
We also installed solar powered lighting and planted more than 3000 new trees, shrubs and grasses as part of the project.
There have been 6 near misses at this crossing since 2012.
Planned timeline
The level crossing was permanently closed to traffic and boom gates removed in May 2024.
The closure of this level crossing helped create a level crossing free Pakenham Line in 2025.
