About the artwork
A Path of Remembrance featuring 11 bronze cast poppies, is at the entrance to Anzac Station next to The Shrine of Remembrance.
Growing from the ground as they once did in Flanders Fields the flowers create a symbolic link between past and present.
This artwork is inspired by the delicate, fleeting poppy bloom as well as the solemnity and permanence of the Shrine of Remembrance. Cast in bronze, the poppies serve as a lasting tribute to the many people who served our nation.
Each poppy represents honour, sacrifice and the hope for peace, inviting all who pass to pause, reflect and remember the legacy of those who came before us.
