Above the new Town Hall and State Library stations multi-storey developments will be built.
These developments are not part of the Metro Tunnel Project. After the Metro Tunnel opens in 2025, both Town Hall and State Library Station will remain open while construction of these developments is underway.
Town Hall Station
Town Hall Place is a commercial building being developed by Lendlease above Town Hall Station.

State Library Station
A development is planned at State Library Station, above the station’s main entrance at the corner of La Trobe and Swanston streets. This building is developed by Scape.
