As part of Metro Tunnel works, we will be undertaking rail asset installation within the rail corridor between Caulfield Station and Lightwood Road, Springvale.

What we are doing

  • Installing rail assets including safety bollards throughout the corridor between Caulfield Station and Lightwood Road
  • Connecting the existing underground cables and conduits to the previously installed relocatable equipment building (REB) between Rayhur Street and Lightwood Road
  • Works will require the use of a non-destructive digging truck, an elevated work platform, a small excavator and crews with hand tools.

What you should be aware of

  • Traffic management will be in place at Westall and Springvale stations, Rayhur Street, Newcomen Road, Queens Avenue and along the Djerring Trail. There are no planned road or shared user path closures while we undertake these works. Any closure will be notified for closer to the date
