We’ll close the Eastern Freeway in both directions between Bulleen Road and Tram Road from 10pm, Friday 15 May to 5am, Monday 18 May while crews asphalt new freeway lanes, widen Bulleen Road bridge and build new noise walls between Bulleen and Elgar Road.
Delays up to 60 minutes are expected. On-road signalling will be in place to guide motorists and commuters through the area.
During this closure, the following ramps will be closed to help ease traffic congestion:
- Chandler HighwayRingwood-bound entry ramp
- Middleborough Road citybound entry ramp
- Blackburn Road citybound entry ramp
- Springvale Road citybound entry ramp.
We’ll close various right turn movements and bus stops to help ease traffic congestion. There will also be no parking or stopping along Doncaster Road in both directions between Burke Road and Cityview Road to ease traffic congestion.
Winfield Road Closure
We’ll close Winfield Road at Doncaster Road from 10pm, Friday 15 May to 5am, Monday 18 May while crews install drainage in the area.
Detour via Greythorn Road and Leicester Street.
