The level crossing at Station Street, Carrum was removed by elevating the rail line over the road.
We built a new direct connection from McLeod Road to Nepean Highway underneath the rail line, creating safer connections for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
A new Carrum Station was also built.
Four new community open spaces were completed as part of Carrum’s $50 million revitalisation.
Timeline
The Station Street level crossing was removed in February 2020, coinciding with the closure of level crossings at Eel Race Road, Carrum and Mascot Avenue, Bonbeach.
