The Metro Tunnel Creative Program partnered with RISING 2024 to present 2 performances of Acid Brass, next to the 2 new Metro Tunnel CBD stations – Town Hall Station and State Library Station.
International artist Jeremy Deller first created the concept of Acid Brass in 1996, producing acid house music played by brass bands. Since then, Acid Brass has captivated audiences with performances at the Louvre in Paris, the Tate in London and now … Melbourne!
The free 20-minute performances were held adjacent to the future Town Hall Station, performed by Glenferrie Brass on Friday June 7 and opposite the future State Library Station by Western Brass on Saturday June 15.
