We’re removing the level crossing at Hopkins Road, Truganina and building a new road bridge over the rail line.

This design means we can get rid of the crossing sooner and will be less disruptive during construction.

Approximately 25,900 vehicles use this level crossing each day. Removing it will improve safety, reduce congestion, and allow more trains to run more often.

We’re in the early stages of planning with further detailed design and community engagement to be undertaken.

We're removing 7 level crossings between the city and Melton and building a brand-new Melton Station, making Melton level crossing free by 2026.
