COMPLETED

South Gippsland Highway, Dandenong South

We removed the level crossing at South Gippsland Highway, Dandenong South by building a road bridge over the rail line.

A new intersection connecting South Gippsland Highway to Princes Highway was built, improving safety and traffic flow.

As part of the project, 8000 square meters of community green space was constructed at the former intersection of South Gippsland Highway and Princes Highway and improvements to walking and cycling connections were delivered.

This level crossing was in one of Australia’s busiest manufacturing regions, with over 31,000 vehicles travelling across it every day.
