Current works
Smoke baffle installation will be undertaken from September at Parkville Station on Grattan Street.
What we'll be doing
- Establishing a temporary work site and at times setting up a 20-tonne crane on the northern Grattan Street footpath, in front of the University of Melbourne Medical Building, around the 2 easternmost station skylights
- Installing smoke baffles on the concourse level at the main Grattan Street entrance
- Removing materials using the crane via the station skylight
- Reinstating the skylight glazing and stonework and removing the work site in early November.
These works will have some impacts on footpath and pedestrian traffic. See the notice below for more information.
