We've added new lanes on Point Cook Road and Central Avenue near the intersection.
The Point Cook Road and Central Avenue Intersection Upgrade has reached a major milestone, with the upgraded intersection and new freeway connection now open to traffic. Landscaping and other finishing works will continue into early 2027.
The Central Avenue Upgrade and Point Cook Road Upgrade are still in planning.
The Point Cook Road and Central Avenue Upgrades in Altona Meadows will reduce travel times, improve safety and walking and cycling connections.
