“In Australia, summer holidays are a unique flurry of tasks and endless activities, making it difficult to explain to our friends in the Northern Hemisphere: a collection of duties, rituals and traditions compressed into a short timeframe.

This artwork is a snapshot based around sticky note doodles that embrace the joys and differences of Christmas in Australia: air conditioning, cheese platters, coming home, the abundance of cherries and watermelon, along with summer activities and travel.

It’s ‘the little things’, we treasure, mourn and celebrate during this time that truly unites us."
