Metro Tunnel O-Week Competition

Terms and Conditions

Participation

  1. This competition (“Promotion”) is conducted by the Metro Tunnel Project Office, a division of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority, an administrative office in relation to the Department of Transport and Planning, ABN 69 981 208 782 of Level 12, 628 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, www.bigbuild.vic.gov.au (“Promoter”).
  2. There is no entry fee for the Promotion.
  3. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
  4. The Promotion is only open to Eligible Entrants. An “Eligible Entrant” is an individual who, at the time of entry:
    1. is a current resident of Victoria;
    2. is a current student of the University of Melbourne or RMIT University;
    3. is not an employee, contractor or supplier of the Promoter or the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority; and
    4. is not a spouse, de-facto partner, parent, child or sibling of such an employee, contractor or supplier.
  5. The Promotion entry opens at 12:00am AEST on Monday 24 February 2025 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Friday 14 March 2025 (“Entry Period”).

Entry

  1. To validly enter the Promotion, an Eligible Entrant must follow the entry instructions in these conditions.
  2. An Eligible Entrant must, during the Entry Period:
    1. answer 2 questions about the Metro Tunnel on the entry form located at metrotunnel.vic.gov.au/oweek and submit the entry form online.
  3. An Eligible Entrant may enter the Promotion only once within the Entry Period.
  4. Validity of entries and selection of entries is at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the Promotion at its sole and absolute discretion.

Winners

  1. All entries to the Promotion will go into a random draw. The Promoter will select one (1) winner at random from valid entries on Friday 21 March 2025.
  2. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who submits an entry or prize claim that is not valid, or who tampers with the entry process. An entry that is incomplete, indecipherable, illegible, contains explicit or otherwise offensive language or is non-compliant with these conditions is invalid.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries, prize claims and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, university student status, state of residence or age).
  4. The Promoter will notify each winner via an email and/or call to the email address and/or phone number provided on their entry form in accordance with these conditions within seven (7) days of the date of the draw.
  5. The winner must provide a copy of their valid student identification card to the Promoter within seven (7) days of the date of request by the Promoter.
  6. If a winning entry is invalid or a winner is unable to be contacted within seven (7) days of the date of the draw, the Promoter may redraw a replacement winner and notify the replacement winner in accordance with these conditions.
  7. In the event that a winner is aged 17 years or younger, the Promoter will require the parent or guardian of the winner to provide the relevant acceptance and consents required under these conditions within seven (7) days of the date of notification by the Promoter. If the parent or guardian of the winner does not provide the relevant acceptance and consents, the prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter may draw a replacement winner in accordance with these conditions.
  8. Each winner consents to the Promoter publishing their first name on the Promoter’s website and social media or other promotional materials, and filming and photographing the winner.

Prize

  1. The winner will receive one (1) myki Money pass valued at AUD$150.
  2. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  3. The winner must collect the myki Money pass from the Promoter, located at Level 13, 628 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, within business hours (Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm), or as otherwise agreed between each winner and the Promoter.
  4. Neither the prize, nor any unused part of the prize, can be sold, scalped, auctioned, raffled, pledged, or promoted as an incentive or reward.
  5. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of the prize.
  6. The Promoter is not liable for any prize being lost, damaged, unavailable, uncollected or undelivered.

General

  1. The Promoter will collect and use personal information to enable the administration and promotion of the Promotion in accordance with these conditions. Personal information will be collected and handled in accordance with the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority’s Privacy Policy.
  2. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or the Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
