The Domain Road pop-up park was built in 2019 and designed to enhance the local area and bring residents, businesses and visitors together to eat, relax and enjoy enhanced green spaces.
Informed by a program of community consultation, the temporary design includes wooden decking, more outdoor seating and more plants. The initial design was roughly the size of 5 car spaces along a number of shop fronts on Domain Road. In October 2020, the park was extended with two more modules.
In January 2025, the Metro Tunnel Creative Program gifted the pop-up parklets to local businesses on Doman Road to own and maintain, while continuing to be enjoyed by residents, businesses and visitors in the area.
