Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) will deliver improved outcomes and exciting opportunities for the people and businesses in each of the SRL East Precincts at Cheltenham, Clayton, Monash, Glen Waverley, Burwood and Box Hill.

This is an exciting opportunity to plan for the future of the neighbourhoods around SRL stations – to create thriving centres with quality housing options, services and job opportunities close to home.

These broader 1.6km areas around the stations – known as SRL Precincts – are currently in the early stages of planning.

Delivering SRL as an integrated transport and precincts project enables Melbourne to grow strategically along the rail corridor, with a focus on supporting sustainable, attractive and well-serviced neighbourhoods.

The Draft Precinct Visions set out new planning opportunities for the areas around each new SRL East station, building on local feedback from the SRL Precincts Discussion Paper and important conversations we have been having with the community about the future of these neighbourhoods.
